Obviously, high quality content matters and you can’t afford to push out tons of low-quality posts every day. You’ll only get lost in the noise of 1.2 million types of content published every day.

You need to understand how Google views newly published blogs. Google ranking factor gives importance to the new stories when it comes to online visibility.

So, what type of searches are impacted under this factor?

  • Hot topics or recent events occurred
  • Regularly recurring events
  • Frequent updates

Company Size Matters

  • Companies with 1 – 15 employees

The small companies that publish 11 or more blog posts per month drive much higher traffic than companies of the same size that publish fewer than 11 blog posts. Those that published 11+ posts per month had almost 3X more traffic than companies publishing 0 – 1 monthly posts, and about 2X as much traffic as those publishing 2 – 5 monthly posts.

  • Companies with 11- 25 employees

Like the companies with 1 – 10 employees, companies with 11 – 25 employees saw the largest jump in traffic numbers when they published more than 11 blog posts per month.

In fact, when the companies with 201 or more employees published 11+ monthly posts, they got 3.5X more traffic than those publishing 0 – 1 blog posts per month.

  • Companies with 30 – 200 employees

The larger companies that published 11+ blog posts per month had a little less than 2X more traffic than those publishing 0 – 1 posts per month.

Blogging For B2B & B2C

For B2B companies, the different in lead generation was less, but still effective. B2B companies that blogged 15+ times per month got about 1.80 X as many leads as those blogging 6 – 10 times per month, and about 3.45 X as many leads as those blogging 0 – 5 times per month

Does The Total Number Of Blogs Published Matter?

One of the best things about business blogging is that your posts will continue working for you long after they’re published.

Turns out you can generate real results from old blog content, and the more you publish, the more old content you’ll have that’ll get you traffic and leads over time.

Find the Ideal Blog Posting Schedule?

One way to figure out the ideal blog posting schedule is to directly ask your audience. Use a social media poll to gain feedback from your audience about how often they would like to read your content.

You can also test your posting frequency. The first week, publish just three times per week. The next week, post every day. Compare engagement levels and traffic numbers.

Overall, companies that make a commitment to regularly publish quality content to their blogs tend to reap the biggest rewards in terms of website traffic and leads and those results continue to pay out over time.

Coming Over To Promoting Your Blog Posts

It’s as simple as it looks – if you don’t promote your blog posts, you don’t get the visibility, no traffic, no leads hence no conversions.

Here are simple ways to promote your blog posts:

  • Use Email Marketing To Promote Your Blog Posts

Email marketing offers an ideal way to make sure that your most devoted followers see your blog posts. Promote two or three blog posts in every email newsletter. Include an image, an excerpt, and a link for each.

  • You Need To Be Active On Social Media

Remember, though, that you don’t want to use social media exclusively — or even primarily — for promotional posts. In between sharing your latest blog posts, sure other interesting information with your audience.

  • Submit Your Content To Different Communities

If you get involved in communities outside your blog, you can reach audiences you might not have otherwise found you. Trade organizations, for example, often have online communities dedicated to people who work within that industry.

  • Joining Facebook & LinkedIn Groups

Getting active on Facebook and LinkedIn can help you promote your blog posts. Take it a step further by joining groups on those two social media platforms and connect with like-minded people.
